New General Manager

Kalina is new general manager for The Miracle Theater

Pigeon Forge, Tenn., Feb. 27, 2009 – The Fee/Hedrick Family Entertainment Group has appointed Robert Kalina as the new general manger of The Miracle Theater, at 2048 Parkway in Pigeon Forge.

“We are looking forward to an incredible season at The Miracle and we are excited to have Robert as our new general manger,” said David Fee, president of the Fee/Hedrick Family Entertainment Group.  “With his previous experience at The Miracle, his knowledge of theater, his professionalism and his dedication to the mission of the theater, Robert is an exceptional employee and a great asset to our company.”
Kalina previously worked as general manager of The Magic Beyond Belief Theater and before that he served as production manager at The Miracle Theater.  In his new position Kalina manages ministry, financials, marketing and sales at the theater.  Of the 63 employees at the theater, 10 of them report directly to Kalina.

Kalina is a native of Derby, Kan., just south of Wichita.  He attended Wichita State University in Kansas for three years taking business, marketing and theater classes.  Before coming to Tennessee in 2007 he worked and consulted at several theaters in Branson, Mo., including The Mansion, The Andy Williams Theater, The Palace Theater and the Pierce Arrow Theater.  Prior to that Kalina operated The Mysteries of Magic Theater in Eureka Spring, Ark.

“I am honored to have been chosen for this position and I love the passion The Miracle theater owners David Fee and Jim Hedrick have for the show itself and their vision for the future,” Kalina said.  “I want to be sure the message goes on forever. I am excited about my new position and I am looking forward to changing the emphasis of the theater to making it even more of a ministry and doing more community outreach.  My life bible verse for the theater is:  “But seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness, and then all these things will be given to you.  (Matthew 6:33)”. I love The Miracle Theater. The people are the absolute greatest.”  Kalina said.  “We all want the best product we can to make sure we can minister to our customers.  We are here to serve the Lord.”

Kalina resides in Sevierville with his wife, Tracy.  Kalina said that his wife, Tracy has a real love for the outdoors and that one of the reasons they originally moved to the area was that they wanted to live in a place that was more conducive to rock climbing and hiking.

“The Lord told me I had to be here,” Kalina said. “ I knew we were coming here before I even had a job here.  It was a strong calling from God.  I love being here.  We are ready to stop moving.  We are staying here and we are dedicated to making The Miracle Theater work.”

The Miracle Theater is locally owned and operated by David Fee and Jim Hedrick. The theater is part of the Fee/Hedrick Family Entertainment Group. Other theaters in the Fee/Hedrick Family Entertainment Group include The Comedy Barn, The Black Bear Jamboree and Magic Beyond Belief.  Visit www.MiracleTheater.com.
